Kirby : Nightmare in dreamland - GBA

Personal objectives: Roll credit

didn't plan to play this game so early but playing Celeste's B-Sides LITERALLY hurt my hand, so I had to take a break from it.

I thought I shelved it after a quick play, years ago. But apparently, I 100% it back then... So I replayed it!

This game has a particular place in my heart. I played it a lot as a teenager and I was broke (on emulation). I was a big fan of the franchise back then. It's also the first game I tried to speedrun, back when I was failing college, and had free time(and I was still broke, so thanks emulation).

For the good parts:
- The sprites are cute and the game looks good, very colorful. Some backgrounds look likes paintings. It's my favorite era of Kirby games.
- The music is good. Classic Kirby music, very nostalgic.
- The mini games are funny. I don't like mini games in general, but those one are short, fun, simple enough and you aren't forced to play them to 100% the game.

For the bad parts:
- Its very, very easy. You can just press forward and you'll pass through most levels with little to no brain power.
- The freeze ability makes the game even easier. Why is it so strong!?
- Kirby is too floaty for my taste when airborne.
- It's very short. If you just play the main game, it takes like 4 hours. And the extra/hard mode has
the same levels as normal mode. Same for the meta knightmare mode.

Overall, I had a good time. I was grinning for a while, out of nostalagia for the game. Then I disconnected my brain and just... breeze through the levels.

6/10
